925 Sterling Silver

The foundation of every Auryn piece. Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver — strong, durable, and naturally hypoallergenic. It won't turn your skin green and it won't irritate sensitive skin. It's the same base metal used by the biggest names in fine jewelry. The difference is we don't charge you fine jewelry prices for it.

Gold Vermeil

Vermeil (pronounced "ver-may") is a thick layer of real gold over solid sterling silver. Most of our pieces are finished in 18k gold, with select pieces available in 10k and 14k. It's not the same as gold plating — which is usually a micro-thin layer of gold over cheap brass that fades in weeks. Vermeil is thicker, richer, and longer lasting. It gives you the warmth and shine of solid gold without the solid gold price tag.

Gold plated brass = looks good for a month, fades fast, turns green.
Gold vermeil on sterling silver = looks good for years, real gold, real silver underneath.

Moissanite

Every Auryn stone is GRA-certified moissanite — VVS1 clarity, D color (colorless). Every order comes with an official GRA certificate so you can verify the quality of your stone yourself.

Moissanite is one of the hardest gemstones on earth, scoring 9.5 on the Mohs scale. Diamond scores 10. That's the only thing diamond does better.

In sparkle, moissanite wins. It has a refractive index of 2.69 compared to diamond's 2.42 — meaning it literally reflects more light from every angle. It's lab-created, conflict-free, and a fraction of the cost. Our customers tell us the same thing over and over: nobody can tell it's not a diamond.
